ZERO BALANCING

Zero Balancing (ZB) is a hands-on bodywork system conceptually related to acupuncture. It is based on the Eastern concept of energy and its relationship to the physical structure. ZB differs from acupuncture in that it uses touch, rather than needles, and works with the energy in bone, rather than the acupuncture meridians. In the Zero Balancing treatment paradigm, an imbalance between structure and energy contributes to a person’s experience of pain, stress, decreased function, and lack of wellness.

Holistic in approach, Zero Balancing does not focus on specific symptoms. However, symptoms resolve as the physical structure and energy system are brought into balance. Incorporating Zero Balancing into treatment sessions enables treatment to address both the structural and energetic causes of pain and dysfunction.

Gentle and deeply relaxing, Zero Balancing sessions are received while fully clothed, lying on one’s back on a comfortable treatment table.

In addition, Zero Balancing is a wonderful modality that can increase your sense of well-being and deepen your connection with who you truly are. It is profoundly relaxing and provides an opportunity for self-reflection and a time to drop deeply into yourself.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Craniosacral Therapy addresses pain and dysfunction found in the craniosacral system, a closed but mobile hydraulic system that connects the skull with the pelvis. The brain and spinal cord are bathed, nourished, and protected by fluids and surrounded by cranial, vertebral and pelvic bones that make minute yet critically important adjustments to changes in pressure and fluid flow. In a well-functioning craniosacral system internal pressures are balanced and fluids flow easily. Anything that impacts the skull or pelvis, like hitting your head, dental work, falling on your tailbone, and stress can disrupt the internal operations of the craniosacral system, block fluid flow and increase pressures. Craniosacral therapy uses very light touch to hold, balance and restore function to the craniosacral system.

VISCERAL MANIPULATION

Visceral Manipulation works directly with the organs in the abdomen and thorax to help problems arising from stress, infections, past surgeries, and poor posture to name only a few. Our organs are enveloped in fascia (connective tissue), connected to each other, to nerves and blood vessels, and to the bones in our back, pelvis and rib cage. Disruption to this complex network can have far reaching effects because everything is so closely connected. Visceral Manipulation uses gentle touch to reestablish function and ease.
